Sorry to add my question to this, but what actually is 
the -activation_bytes string. Where do I find 
that?

My file is recognised with ffmpeg -i example.ax But, 
trying this command
ffmpeg -activation_bytes 62689101 -i Volume1.aax -vn -c:a copy -v \
 debug output2.mp4

results in this error
