[FFmpeg-user] theoretical concurrency limitations

Hi All -

I know this is a bit of an open-ended question, so I apologize in advance if it's not appropriate for this user list. 

Basically, can someone tell me what factors should be considered when determining how many instances of FFmpeg can be run concurrently (efficiently) on a single machine?
