Depending on what "storage" means, FFmpeg may not be the
right tool for this (rar probably is but I don't use it so I don't know).

I suspect the input file is muxed with a very large overhead (it
contains areas of "0"), MP4Box may be able to tell.

Losing metadata is generally unavoidable.
