I am trying to add interlace to a progressive-scan clip using this code:

-vf  "fieldorder=tff","tinterlace=merge"  -flags +ilme+ildct

Most of the time MediaInfo reports "Interleaved Fields". Under different circumstances it reports "Interlace".

What is the difference, if any, between "Interleaved Fields" and "Interlace" as far as MediaInfo is concerned?
