Hello, everyone: I just thought that I'd start out by asking a general question. Can anyone tell me the possible reasons why avcodec_open might generate a segementation fault? It appears that I have properly created a codec and a codec context so I do not know where to begin. Thank you to anyone who is able to help a ffmpeg newbie out.
