[Libav-user] Using libav library how to open a video device(webcam) and read data?

Can we do it using the ffmpeg library or we have to use opencv? There are
examples at opencv.org to open a AV device and read data. Please point me
to examples that do the same with libavformat, libavcodec, libavutil and
libavdevice.
