I of course agree that asking questions here is welcome 
but I am not 100% convinced that all developers are 
happy about "I want to add a wrapper around my 
proprietary and closed source audio encoder although no 
specification exists and I didn't do any double-blind 
tests to proof its quality. I only want to add 
obscurity to the files my users encode".

(I am not saying this is the case here but claiming 
that x264 is proprietary doesn't add confidence.)
