I see on EETimes that the VC-1 standard (Windows Media Video 9) has finally 
been released.

Are there any plans to support this in ffmpeg for encode and decode?

I was interested to see in an article by TI that it requires much less 
processing than h.264 (40% less to encode and similar for decode)
