lets see.
1. write a generic replacement for RT*P (doable for sure and not hard,
   just a format that can transmit slices, timestamps and an identifer
   for the used codec)
2. support it in libavformat

sure, QT, real player & WMP wont give a damn about it but why should we
give a damn about what they do?
It surely is a advantage if there where a simple and generic FOSS
streaming solution, just the reduction in code size for not needing
1 RT*P bloat-spec per codec would be worth it.
