Hi all,

  this is a (maybe partly controversial) series containing documentation
updates. Please read carefully and comment if you have an opinion on
these matters.

  Also, and especially if you are a native English speaker, please point
out any spelling/grammar mistakes.

  This series is meant to be applied on top of the doc patches Stefano
submitted a few days ago.
