well if i were 'evilfictionalcompanyXX' i would get a big name , say an
ex-apple corpy and make it look like i wanted to hire him. the next
step is to get him hired at 'companyYY'. after that, he runs the
company , putting all effort into satisfying evilfcionalcompanyxx
requirements. to achieve this, i would make rumors about buying
companyYY, and offer their board some stock options.

after companyYY destroys itself (firing lots of good talent) to make it
purchaseable, i'd pull the rug out, thus crushing their entire
structure. after having hired all of the top people they fired, there
would be nothing left for them to do but run out of money and have a
bankruptcy sale. in which case the patents and naming rights could be
had for mere pennies.

then M$ can take on nvidia :P
