Reporting a bug to the creator of such files.
You can't fix an issue like this because you'll break SAR for valid files.

I must admit I don't understand why mediainfo reports a (correct) DAR
of 16:9, I don't see any information in the stream
to suggest that.

In reality what I'd do is I'd special case it in my application, which
I suspect is what ffmbc does or will have to
do if these files are prevalent.
