Most importantly, it requires less boilerplate by the user. (Somewhat
similar to "hwaccel 2.0" Libav is dreaming about.) Though it achieves
that by using newer kernel/driver mechanisms (dma_buf), instead of
requiring the user to use vaapi directly.
