 Why do you think MLP is different from THD's shorten_by?? Also, maybe it
 was signalled by MPEG-TS on dvd. I do have one DVD-A like that. Dunno how
 to check.

 So no idea whether you did an off-by-pne mistake in shorten_by? Because
 reference decoders think you need to shorten the previous frame.
