 the mpc and wave you uploaded sound similar. what are you using to
 playback the .wav file with? if you do ffmpeg -i m_lic_eqg_eg_stomp-
 expected-output-cut.wav file.mp3

 what does file.mp3 sound like ? what i mean is, is your wav playback the
 issue ?
