 Summary of the bug:

 - AVFoundation and FFMPEG reports that my webcam is able to reach 1080p at
 30fps with the NV12 codec:

 But when I try to play it back:

 I get a 5fps stream (at the right size).


 Apple's Photo Booth app has no issue opening the same stream at 1080p30.
