 This is not limited to vaapi encoding, but also affects any hardware
 accelerated filters that I tested: `overlay_cuda`, `bilateral_cuda`,
 `overlay_opencl`, `overlay_qsv`, `overlay_vaapi` and `overlay_vulkan`.

 My git bisect also points to 8c7934f73ab6c568acaa47c821a6833f9145fdbb as
 being the offending commit.
