 You are correct! The remainder, which is after 5 seconds is not always
 just silence. It can be some strange decreasing amplitude noise, like in
 the case of perfect audio sinusoid. But also see my report #9471. Paul
 that helped with Dolby EAC3 left the ffmpeg project too. So WE have mp3,
 mp4, eac3. Apple actually handles EAC3 correctly too.
