 ͏    Maybe the encoders after all picked their preferred color primaries,
 for the implicit conversion?
 ͏    (debug log should have these details; in particular with "-sws_flags
 +print_info" alike)

 ͏    BT.709 is something common (also possibly default).
 ͏    Try deliberately tagging something extraordinary?
