 (this fixes the extension issue maybe)

 please tell me if it fixes it, otherwise provide a testcase that works
 with ffmpeg alone or provide more details how to setup a mpv testcase on a
 ubuntu lts (not windows)

 any leaked connections are unrelated to the quoted commit as no new exit
 pathes are introduced.
