 I don't think even QuickTime Player 7 Pro supported this anymore at least
 as far as the creation goes?

 I honestly don't see why we should support it in FFmpeg, I never
 encountered such a file in the wild, we never had a user of VLC request
 support for it either, so I would assume they are incredibly rare
 historical artifact that if you want to support them you could implement
 in whatever client application using FFmpeg under the hood instead of
 having support for this in FFmpeg.

 Especially considering that having a .mov that is actually an XML that
 points to another file sounds like it would open a pandoras box of
 security issues…
