[FFmpeg-user] Subtitles (libass) on CentOS5 - fontconfig error

You should rebuild libass to enable fontconfig support.

This is more annoying, and deserves a ticket on the bug tracker. It may be a
libass bug, though, but we will not know until we investigate.
