[FFmpeg-user] How to show the encoding or decoding latency?

I want to make a comparasison between Inter Media SDK's sample decoder and ffmpeg, video format: .264- Yuv420.
But I don't know how to show decode latency when using ffmpeg. 
In order to be impartial, is there any more parameters should be set?
