[FFmpeg-user] linux or windows?

It's possible to get compiled versions of ffmpeg for both Linux and Windows.

The only problem I've ever had with windows versions is that they tend to be considered outdated when you ask questions about them on this list. That always seems a little unfair, since "outdated" in terms of ffmpeg seems to be a matter of hours, but it's only a problem if you let on...
