[FFmpeg-user] Ignoring errors in transcoding

This is the same as
$ ffmpeg -i crapfile.mpg out.mpg
but with maximum video quality (-qscale 2) and an 
option that allows to use maximum quality in mpeg 
streams (you can get many warnings without -mbd 2).

The reason I asked was that I did not understand 
what your usecase is and that I hoped if you 
explain what's wrong with above line I would 
understand it.
If your original question is simply "my input 
stream has errors, I fear that FFmpeg doesn't 
like input stream with errors, how do I tell 
FFmpeg to transcode such a stream?" then the 
answer is: The default behaviour of FFmpeg is to 
try to conceal the errors visually and continue 
transcoding.
