there is a *large* difference between using a distributions
repo with signed packages or click for every app you want
to use on a different random website clueless about who
built the binary
if you don't realize that - well, security is not your job
and if it only is because *if* there was a intrusion in
a large linux distributions infrastructure you likely
read about in some news - if the same happened on a
random domain you never will hear about and the same
likely happens if the ffmpeg server was hacked since
it is a widely known project and not just one website
out of millions
