I've read somewhere that ffmpeg recently made some progress on dolby vision support. I do have a few files that I can't play on all of my devices unless I want to see some purple faces and other funny colours. I'd be happy if I could transcode these to normal 4k files (some say it should fall back to that automatically, but it doesn't).
