Is this reproducible with current git head?

Yes! (git 2012 06 18) have a same error.
Maybe problem in some codec?
I compile new codec and after this hapends.
Work dir with all logs and erros in XZ archive for developer analisys -
​ftp://ifconfig.com.ua/incoming/debug_log/slackbuild.tar.xz

which shell is configure using ?
you have enough diskspace and there are no hardware problems ?

I reproduced the problem at Slackware64 13.37 - probably some issue with compiler or libraries versions, but on Slackware 14.0 it configures normally.
