realtime priority is not useful; joerg just claims it is. i've nver
used realtime priority, even when i had an old burner, and all modern
burners have "burnproof" functionality which turns off the laser when
the buffer drains and resyncs and resumes burning when more data is
available, all in hardware with no software intervention.

the "cd burning software must run realtime" thing is a myth born out
of joerg's ego, whereby he thinks every program written by him must be
given godlike permissions just because he is a god...

p.s. any real god of coding would never recommend running their code
with more privileges/priority than it needs. *thinks of chris evans*
