Well, it depends on your criteria. At least the windows version, when
attempting to play their own HDTV trailers in half the cases plays
only a green window, whereas VLC and MPlayer both work fine.
I also remember that one sample that had artifacts with the
reference decoder, but played okay with QuickTime.
So the best I can say: Even if there isn't a better reference, it is not
a good one.
Sure, this can have any number of causes, like that my PC is actually a
bit too slow, and that windows isn't the primary platform, but still.
