Could somebody tell me 
The function save_flags() in the "configure" file
,what meaning  is the "return" in the first line?

save_flags(){
    flags_saved && return //????
    SAVE_CFLAGS="$CFLAGS"
    SAVE_LDFLAGS="$LDFLAGS"
    SAVE_extralibs="$extralibs"
}
