Did you mean me or Matt? I clearly said it "shouldn't". I didn't test
whether it doesn't, but tried to find indicators. (It *could* have had
a public "-lbz2" in the pkg-config file, but a missing "Requires:
bzip2-devel". But that's not the case.)

My conclusion was: Something else was adding "-lbz2".
