[FFmpeg-user] How can I extract 8 linear thumbnails from videos with differnt length?

I dont need every x seconds one image ;)
I need it like (dirty example) at youporn.
Every videos (not depending which filelength) has exact 9 thumbnails. 
Linear division over the length.
So the 5th thumbnail is in the middle of the video.
