I'm not sure there's much point in it, but still I'll say a few words.
I started as a MPlayer developer (over?) 10 years ago and over time
became also involved in FFmpeg (since committers were shared between
MPlayer and FFmpeg at that time I can't give a specific date really).
On the MPlayer side I am most heavily involved with OpenGL stuff,
while on the FFmpeg side I mostly worked with support for simple
formats, code cleanups, bug fixes, and a lot of patch review.
My main reason for candidating was honestly that I was afraid that we
might get only the most hot-headed people as candidates without
anyone to mediate, making it near impossible to achieve anything.
On the negative side that means I don't have any great plans to offer,
though as MPlayer developer I hopefully will be able to represent
also a bit more of OpenSource multimedia than just FFmpeg developers.
And I am also convinced that it will always possible to discuss
and flesh out plans with me in a productive way, even if I'm surely
not completely without bias.
