I started contributing to FFmpeg in 2007 by taking over the package
maintenance of the FFmpeg package in Debian. Since then, I've become
more and more active also in "upstream" FFmpeg development.  Most of my
work consists on finishing deliverables in form of source code releases.

I'm running for a seat in this board election because I think I can
reasonably mediate and talk to most people. In technical discussions,
I'll make sure to represent the POV of FFmpeg/Libav 'downstream'
consumer like downstream projects such as mplayer, vlc, or gstreamer and
also major distribution channels such as Linux distributions. My goals
include delivering reliable source code release to build great product
upon and making Libav/FFmpeg more welcoming to new contributors.
